The reading of the law of the first amendment of the Iraqi nationality law

The new Iraqi nationality law No. 26 of 2006 was enacted after the ratification of the new constitution in 2005. This new nationality law tried to solve many problems created by old and abolished law No.43 of 1963 (Amended). It is also worth-bearing in mind that this law exerted considerable efforts to solve the problems of the Iraqi citizens whom the old political regime denaturalized them, and deprived them from their original Iraqi nationality, like the Faili Kurds ,and others whom the dictator regime denaturalized them for political, religious, racist or sectarian grounds. But the suggested amendments caused controversial arguments among Iraqi people. And this seminar try to shed light on these amendments
