Abstract

"This seminar gives an overview of the basic notions and the most important morphological patterns in English languages. Readers who are primarily interested in understanding English morphology can be understood in much greater depth when viewed with explanation.
Morphology is the study of systematic covariation in the form and meaning of words. It is important that this form–meaning covariation occurs systematically in groups of words. When there are just two words with partial form– meaning resemblances, these may be merely accidental. "
