Abstract
To understand the idea behind the intelligent reflecting surfaces, we have a Transmitter, the IRS, and a Receiving user. Intelligent Reflecting Surface has the idea that you can mimic what a mirror is doing but you do it in a controlled way. So, when the signal comes from the RF transmitter then it’s going to be bouncing off it with a controllable beam direction and the shape of it can also be controlled and then you can focus it to the intended user.
