Abstract
This study explores the transformative effects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on project management within Iraqi governmental initiatives, focusing on infrastructure and development sectors. Through case studies and expert analyses, the research highlights AI's potential to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability in project execution. Findings indicate that AI applications in Iraq are most impactful during the design and planning phases, where they contribute to reducing costs, minimizing errors, and conserving resources. However, the implementation phase still relies heavily on human oversight, reflecting a cautious approach to AI integration. Despite these advancements, challenges persist, including limited AI readiness, infrastructural deficits, and a shortage of skilled professionals. To address these issues, the study recommends investing in education and training, developing adaptable legal frameworks, and fostering collaboration between public and private sectors In conclusion, while AI holds significant promise for improving project management in Iraq, its successful integration requires strategic planning, capacity building, and policy support to overcome existing barriers and fully realize its benefits.
