Abstract

-he passage of heavy trucks through the roads inside the cities is a common phenomenon that causes many damages, problems and inconveniences to road users and those living near it. In this paper, the environmental effect represented by the noise produced by trucks was evaluated in the city of Samarra, which the biggest city in Salah al-Din Governorate. The noise measurement process was carried out using the Sound Level Meter, as it was found that trucks do not cause great noise in the city of Samarra due to the slow movement in the city’s roads due to the intensity of congestion and noise interference with different sources of loud sounds.
