Abstract
The increasing complexity associated with making efficient and prompt business actions inside highly competitive industries has compelled enterprises across the globe to embrace the use of business intelligence (BI) technology. Large enterprises have achieved a state of advanced BI implementation, whereas small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) continue to trail behind. This is despite the fact that organizations of all sizes can derive advantages from employing this technology to collect, manage, and analyze data in order to facilitate decision-making processes that ultimately improve profitability. The purpose of this study is to measure the direct impact of Technology Characteristics on BI in the context of Iraqi SMEs. The data collected from SME owners and managers by questionnaire which managed by self-administrative. The results indicated compatibility, information quality and relative advantage has positive and significant impact on BI adoption. This result and study could help SME managers and owners increase the adoption of BI in Iraq.
