Abstract
The subsequent synthesis involved the preparation of novel sulfonamide derivatives from 4-acetamidobenzenesulfanyl chloride. 4-acetamidobenzenesulfanyl chloride was synthesized as the initial compound, followed by the preparation of derivatives through the reaction of 4-acetamidobenzenesulfanyl with the amino acids valine, alanine, and tryptophan using a basic solution of sodium hydroxide. The structures of the derivatives determined by the using FT-IR, 1 H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and DEPT 135o analysis. In addition, the derivatives were also evaluated for their antimicrobial effectiveness against significant strains, specifically S.aureus and E. coli.
