Abstract
Cloud computing is an evolving technology paradigm with incredible momentum. While the benefits of cloud computing are clear, it introduces new security challenges. Security issues in cloud computing is shown to be the biggest obstacle that could affects its wide benefits. These security issues become a critical concern when outsourcing sensitive data and business application to a third party. Sensitive information such as medical records, financial records or high impact business data has its own strict and sensitive security requirements for confidentiality, availability to authorized users, and traceability of access. This paper focuses on storing data on the cloud in the encrypted format to avoid data contact from an unauthorized access. The paper introduces the principle of homomorphic encryption and suggests the use of fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) scheme to provide a secure environment for sensitive user data in the cloud. The proposed scheme is secure and practical. And the performance assessment and analysis demonstrate the practice and validity of the proposed technique.
