The Role of Edutainment in Classroom Teaching

It is obvious that the teaching/learning process of foreign language suffers from many drawbacks that result in unsuccessful learning outcomes on the part of students. Now it is time to make a dramatic shift from the current methodology which mainly depends on traditional lecturing and explanation to a more effective one that depends on interaction with an edutaining flavor. So, emphasis is laid on the role of edutainment as effective substitutes for handling the current situation which lacks entertainment, interest and interaction all of which are needed to deliver the teaching material in a relaxing and an amusing manner in addition to its educational value and content.
