Abstract
The English law of torts is considered as customary law extracted from the English judicial precedents of the English courts. The tort is defined in the English law as a civil wrong in the sense that it is committed against an individual and legal entities such as companies. The liability from torts arises as a result of the fault comprising either act or omission generating damage to protected interest, with causation between them. It is worth-bearing in mind that the tort takes eight different forms, that is to say. Negligence, defamation, nuisance, trespass to land, trespass to persons, invasion of right to privacy, breach of statutory duty and economic torts.
